what's happening here..............

Gosh!!  It is ALL going on here at the moment!

The kennels...

We are so busy at the moment getting the kennels ready for opening in October!  Currently looking at sofas and furnishings for our imminent guests.  We have house sitting booked in for September and December already!!  We are very EXCITED!

HOMESTAY

We have a home-stay booked in for Thursday 4th to 16th August. As usual, we have made a few visits to get to know the dogs and we will be at the property when the owner heads off for their holiday, this reduces anxiety for the dogs and gives them a continued sense of security. We will be looking after 3 lovely doggies, the little boy Rufus is a diabetic and so needs 2 injections daily, we attended yesterday to go through the last minute instructions and give him his injection (he is so brave).  As we all know they all have very different personalities so we like to get to know their routines; likes/dislikes etc... We are looking forward to spending time with them and sending their mum lots of photographs! :-D

our current guests and rescues....

We are currently looking after lots of poor rescues.

We have a mummy cat who is blind, and her 4 babies!  They will be staying with us (the kennels will be their forever home) and helping us to look after our guests!

We also have a beautiful feral kitten we were asked to look after on behalf of Animal Aid, Ovacik Hisaronu;  (now named Bella). She was found with a damaged back foot; we think it had been bitten off by a dog?  She had to have the leg amputated and came here to recuperate.  This is now her forever home and although she is still a little skittish around strangers, she is a little love bug with me!!

We think she is so beautiful, we have used her picture as our Facebook image :-D

The smallest member of our rescue fur babies, this is CeeCee, she is approximately 3 1/2 weeks old and is being bottle fed.  Unfortunately, she was found crying on her own in Kayakoy and brought here.  We have checked the area for mummy coming back but have had no luck.

She is currenly on 4 hour feeds using a very small syringe.  We are hoping that once we have maintained her health she will start to lap (so we can get some sleep)!!

This will be her forever home, but we need a better name for her!!

**UPDATE**

What a difference a few weeks make, I would like to introduce you to Pudding.  She is fit and well and very beautiful.

So, just when Pudding had got the hang of lapping and we could all get some sleep.....we had an urgent call about 3 orphaned 2 week old kittens that needed taking care of!  How could we possibly say no?
They have had a bout of the sniffles requiring antibiotic injections, thanks to the tireless work of Animal Aid they are being monitored by the vet and are doing well....
